At the moment, KEMPERUCENTRS offers one of the Europes oldest camper manufacturer’s DETHLEFFS one of both product lines – liveable trailers.
In 1832, Dethleffs KG is born, which is the first whip factory fundament. Later, the company starts manufacturing ski poles as well. Almost 100 years after the birth of DETHLEFFS, Arist Dethleffs, with the motto “Nowhere without my family”, built his first own recreational vehicle, which allowed the family to accompany him on his work trips. He names his invention the “Wohnauto”. In the upcoming years, livable trailers were built in a wooden barn by individual order. In 1936, Dethleffs Wohnauto is already empolying six permanent employees. Twnenty years later comes the first successes and numerous international awards for design and quality. The manufacturing of whips is ceased. In 1961, the first camper manufacturing line (conveyor belt) is made. DETHLEFFS focuses on one model called the Camper. In 1971, the range of models has already been expanded to five types. The most successful products are Camper, Tourist, Comfort and Globetrotter. In 1973, a new factory of 12,000 m2 area and a modern administration building is built. The number of employees increases to 235. In 1993, the construction of a new production hall with 6,200 sq.m. is exectued, and an investment of approximately 12 million DM is made. The DETHLEFFS camper successfully passes the first crash test that year, which is publicly documented at the German Federal Road Traffic Institute in Cologne. In the mid-1990s, DETHLEFFS endorsed their concept and motto – Dethleffs – A Friend of the Family. 20 years ago, in 2001, DETHLEFFS invests in a new production and painting plant, but from 2003, under the The Family Card Concept, the product warranty is extended to 4 years. In 2014, the new C'go model DETHLEFFS introduces a completely new concept for camper trailers. C’go inspires you to pack your luggage and go on a tour. It looks modern and stylish, with four modern upholstered furniture designs and a wide selection of layouts. In 2016, DETHLEFFS decides to build a new production building with an additional 10,000 m2 of production space. Growth continues!
In the compact class, KEMPERUCENTRS offers such well-known in Europe and high quality models as DETHLEFFS C’Joy, C’Go, Coco, and the compact +Aero, Camper, and Nomad. In the full size class, also known as XL livable trailer class, KEMPERUCENTRS offers DETHLEFFS flag bearer Beduin Scandinavia, which can be purchased with one or two axles, and is specially equipped for trips in the harsh wintertimes (with the optional package Winter Comfort). Beduin Scandinavia, depending on the complete set, ranks in the weight category of 1,8 to 2,2 tons, and its length in combination with the coupling can reach up to 9,4 meters. The possible sleeping space number is very democratic, and 3 to 7 place models are available for choice. It has to be noted, that one of the DETHLEFFS product valuable traits is the care for suitability of the campers for winter trips!
